April 9th, 2012 - Election 2012
| Stephen Colbert introduces the candidates. |
It's 2012 and the Republican Presidential Primary is in full swing. Stephen Colbert has invited the four main candidates to have a debate during the Colbert Report. Ron Paul, Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum, and Newt Gingrich all have come to the debate in order to show America why they ought to be voted for. However, this late in the primary season things are desperate. Mitt wants to close the contest soon so he can focus on Obama, Newt's floundering campaign is deeply in debt, Santorum sees his hopes dimming fast, and Ron Paul's cult-like followers grow weary of Ron suffering loss after loss. There is only one solution... they must eliminate the competition.
Silent-sigfig runs this forum battle to determine the Republican Presidential nominee for 2012.

November 25th, 2011 - Zombie (Zulu) Dawn
| Brittanian inaccuracy at its best. |
| Over two years ago, at the end of the 2009th Galactik Revolution, war was beginning. Some Assyrians had stolen a computer core from a secret Peach base underneath the surface of some god-forsaken Brittanian outpost. They were on their way back to the space port to return to their ship when the Zombie Apocalypse broke out. Faster than you can blink, approximately 500 minifigures would swarm the spaceport and fight to the death for the Computer Core, glory, and ossum. Guest appearances by Stubby, Brikthulu, and Manly Santa. |

November 10th, 2011 - "Halloween Hellhunt" Battle Reports
| The Dark Horde's elephant shirks its howdah duty |
Judging has concluded on the second annual Halloween Hellhunt battle report contest, and Killer Karetsu's "The Battle at Brikpass" has come out on top. The forces of both Count Shinypants and Dark Lord Krag Hag had the poor luck to be traveling through the Brikpass on the same day, and slaughter inevitably ensued.
Battles were judged by a team of five judges for a potential five points based on five categories: Gameplay, Photography, Violence, Writing, and Overall Appeal. These were combined, through mysterious Halloween math, to add up to a maximum potential score of 16. How does that work? Not even the judges know for sure. |

| Tigershark SHDT by fredde |
| Here we have some more excellent creations by our forum members. The featured picture is the Tigershark Super Hover Death Tank by fredde. Designed to compete with the super tanks that have been floating around the board since December, fredde decided to best everyone by making a hover tank instead of a normal one. Armed to the teeth, (literally) this tank is built to destroy. Check out links to some other cool stuff below. J+B designed some neat heavy troopers using the Explorien helmet, and Siceron and Coral made functioning minifig-scale compound-bows. |

April 26th, 2011 - The Art of Death
| Skeiðbrimir Light Attack Frigate |
| Everyone loves to see the epic destruction that can be wrought upon their cities and towns of plastic building bricks, but you have to remember that the cooler your creations are, the cooler they will look when destroyed. That's why many members of the BrikWars forum like to dedicate hours of their day to building the most intricate and detailed vehicles, mecha, and buildings so that when it comes time for battle the ruined creations strewn about the field will be eye-catching and beautiful even when destroyed. For this post I have linked some of the more awesome creations that have been put up recently. |

April 18th, 2011 - Death in Philidelphia
| The Horror Corps line up at the edge of the field. |
| Every week for the past month or so, Rev. Sylvanus is playing BrikWars with some friends down at Redcap's Corner game shop in Philidelphia. On April 30th there will be a tournament, so if you live in the area you should check it out. This weekend's battle was a grudge match between Rev's OOF and dirtycajun's Horror Corps. They're fighting over a mysterious pod that crash-landed in a pond at the centre of the field. Who will win? Check the links below for this battle report and others. |

December 17th, 2010 - DSM Civil War
| A white DSM blasts the head off of a blue Futuron invader. |
| ForlornCreature posted an awesome battle report of a fight between the infamous Deadly Space Men and their sworn enemies, the Futuron. The Futuron trick the DSM into allowing them to land near their gas mining operation, but getting to the field doesn't make you win the fight automatically. Read Forlorn's first battle report to find out who will prevail. |

December 16th, 2010 - Thieves gonna thieve
| Stabbing you in the face since 2001 |
Hi everybody! Remember that video I was telling you about in the previous post? The "Lego Black Ops" one?
Within the same day, eBaum's had already stolen it, slapped their logo on it, and started collecting ad revenue for it. Which is to be expected, that's what they do. What pisses me off is that in the couple days since then, people have been sending me links to it as if it were the original content, which it isn't, obviously.
I usually figure that that site has been around long enough that people know better than to pass around eBaum's links, but some of you are pretty new to the internet and don't know about those guys yet. So for those of you not clued in: DON'T USE EBAUM'S. Don't visit it, don't link to it, don't put up with other people who do.
Their sole reason to exist is to steal original content from guys like me, pretend it's theirs, and make money off it. That's their whole business model. Every time you visit a page on their site, and every time you send someone else there, you're giving them ad revenue for their stolen work. And they're assholes besides.

December 13th, 2010 - Block Ops
Just saw a stop-motion video by Keshen8 that's not to be missed - it runs like a highlight reel for BrickArms weaponry (though I think I spot at least a couple of Brickforge pieces in there as well - am I wrong?).
I try to update the linkbox on the right every now and then with new custom-weapons shops that catch my eye, but I really only get a tiny fraction of what's out there, and there are a couple of sites that are much more dedicated and do a much better job.
Most of the customs news I follow these days comes from the Ugly Duckling at Bricklink minifig news blog and the FireStar Toys reseller site. These will give you a much better idea of the full range of minifig options available, and I figure this is as good an excuse as any to pass along some links. |

December 7th, 2010 - BrikWars BrikWiki
| The BrikWiki: Like a Library of Death |
| It has been around for a while, but it has never made it into the newsfeed. I'm talking about the BrikWiki -- BrikWars' wiki where you can learn about Triangleism, Orange Transparent, or the horrific events which took place at Hospital 555. Below I've linked some of the better-written pages. Go have a look: |

| Tuefish's Vol destroy an Assyrian tank in the Peach Massacre of G.R. 2010. |
| 2010 has been a year of battle and conflict for space factions. The Immortals have prompted an arms race among many of the star empires and sparked huge clashes between them. Notably, the long awaited Round 2 of the Peach Massacre of G.R. 2010 is finally being uploaded to the forums, so check it out as 200+ minifigs from three different star empires face off in an epic free for all to the death. |

April 2nd, 2010 - Niklas Jansson's LEGO Project
| Counterparts to the Deadly Spaceman: Spacefemme Fatales? |
There are some truly epic battles going on in the forums right now, so rather than posting links to any of those, I'm going to leave it to you to find them and send you to go look at this other thing instead.
Swedish freelance artist and Diglett fan Niklas Jansson has posted a massive pile of concept sketches and thoughts to his Android Arts site about redesigning classic LEGO Space themes. There's a whole lot of material to plow through, but look towards the bottom half of the page for highlights like a massive OTC tunneler for Ice Planet, some Zaku-styled Blacktrons, and of course the sexy Space Babes.

December 21st, 2009 - Re-stealing the Battle Report List
| Apollyon's armory guards irritate a Deadly Spaceman, with easily predictable results |
Speaking of battle reports from 2009, Arkbrik's taken the trouble to collect links to a couple dozen of them, and has posted them to the forum in one big Battle Report List.
December 17th, 2009 - Copenhagen Climate Conference
| Why was Copenhagen selected for a meeting of world leaders? Easy access to Billund, experts say |
There have been plenty of awesome battle reports coming in over the last couple of months that I've been too lazy to post, but there was no way I could let this one pass without comment. It's the first one I've seen to put Obama and his well-known superpowers to use in combat, to truly stupendous effect. This is a moment that will shape history.
The pictures aren't the best quality, but from start to epic conclusion this is truly a battle not to be missed.

March 27th, 2009 - SkyNet discovers BrikWars
| "Engaging in imaginative play helps my development!" |
As all experienced BrikWars players know, playing with Lego, combined with learning that rules are made to be changed, leads directly and inevitably to massive psychotic explosions of violence. Surprising no one, this is the combination of factors that lead SkyNet to destroy humanity, as shown on tonight's episode of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
As much as I hate to promote anything on the Fox network, I felt that this one had to be shared.

December 14th, 2008 - Combat Serials
| On Death War Day 2, Natalya maneuvers her Assyrian cruiser to place the Czech fighter inside the barrel of the main cannon, right before hitting the fire button. |
December seems to be the month for daily-update combat serials, starting with Reasonably Clever doing a QuikWars version of their annual LEGO Advent Calendar feature. It's the Town Calendar versus the Castle Calendar, fighting to the death while both attempt to free the imprisoned Santa Claus from evil Martians.
Pesgores followed up a little bit later with "Superproject Codename: Persogoras," a play-by-forum battle between the Rebels (played by Moronstudios), the Empire (OneEye589), the Pirates (Bonn-o-Tron), and the Droids (IVhorseman).
Last but not least, Natalya followed suit with the Death War Project, making up for its later start with some of the best BrikWars action photography to date. The combined-forces battle sets the Assyrian Star Empire (pesgores and Natalya), the Czech Republic (Moronstudios and AmmoMan), the Space Ninjas (Theblackdog), the Space Pirates (Rody), and the Gludavian Raiders (Niflheim) in deadly combat from clashing ground forces up to the mighty Assyrian space cruiser.

December 6th, 2008 - DaCheez's Firefly-Themed Battle
| In space, no one can hear your squad get sucked out a hull breach |
Mercenaries, Alliance, and Reavers, oh my! DaCheez spent more photos on his troops messing with the space station's environmental controls than on what were reportedly some heavy firefights, but watching squads get crushed by artificial gravity and sucked out airlocks is pretty entertaining nonetheless.

December 4th, 2008 - BrickArms remains awesome
| Fox and the Daily Sun are against toy badguys |
BrickArms just got slammed with some sensationalist nonsense by the British tabloid The Daily Sun, and the story went on to get picked up by Fox News. Leaving aside the discussion about what it says about Fox News that they happily use the soaraway Sun as a reliable news source, this serves to remind me that I'm way behind in taking about new BrickArms products released in the last couple of months. Which is a shame, because they're awesome.
(Before you read either article, if you're not aware already, BrickArms doesn't produce "al Qaeda terrorist" minifigs. Duh.)
Naturally, all this media attention has accomplished is flooding BrickArms with more orders than they can process. So feel free to run over there and check out the great new stuff, then weep in agony because you can't order any of it anymore. Thanks a lot, Fox News!

December 1st, 2008 - More Battles
| After several defeats at the hands of MNGG, the Clone Horde moves on to attack Professor Ken's Lego Coalition instead |
With the holidays upon us, the pace of battles is increasing. What is it about time spent home with the family that inspires so much violence?
